How Etsy Fees Work (2024)
- Listing Fee ($0.20) — Charged each time you list or renew an item. Auto-renews every 4 months or when sold.
- Transaction Fee (6.5%) — Applied to the full sale price including shipping you charge the buyer.
- Payment Processing (3% + $0.25) — For Etsy Payments (required in most countries).
- Offsite Ads (12–15%) — Only charged when a buyer clicks an Etsy ad outside the platform and then purchases.
Tips to Maximize Your Payout
- Factor in all fees when setting your prices — don't price based on item price alone.
- Charge accurate shipping — transaction fees apply to shipping, so free shipping isn't always worth it.
- If you're under $10k/yr, consider opting out of Offsite Ads to save 12% on those sales.
