Yoke Increase Calculator

Plan your circular yoke increases from neck cast-on to underarm. Not locked to raglan seam lines.

How to Use

  1. Neck cast-on: The number of stitches you cast on at the neck edge (top-down) or bind off at the neck (bottom-up).
  2. Target body stitches: The total round count at the underarm separation point.
  3. Yoke depth: Measured from neck to underarm in inches.
  4. Row gauge: How many rows or rounds per inch from your gauge swatch.
  5. Choose sections and increase type, then click Calculate Yoke Schedule.

About Circular Yoke Increases

  • Unlike raglan, circular yoke increases are not tied to specific seam lines — they can happen anywhere in the round.
  • Increases are typically spread evenly around the round (e.g., every 5th stitch for a round of 20 increases).
  • Using 3 sections creates a natural curve: dense increases early, then tapering off.
  • Space increases further apart for a more drapey yoke; closer together for a structured fit.
