How to use this calculator

Find the stitch count (width × height in stitches) on the pattern cover or in the pattern file. Select the fabric count you plan to stitch on. The calculator shows the finished stitched area and how much fabric to purchase (with your chosen border margin).

A pattern with 140 × 200 stitches on 14-count Aida = 10" × 14.3" stitched area
Add at least 3" border on each side for framing or finishing
Higher fabric count = smaller finished size; lower count = larger finished size

Evenweave fabrics are worked over 2 threads, so a 28-count evenweave gives the same stitch size as 14-count Aida.
