How Raglan Increases Work

  • A standard raglan has 4 increase lines (8 increase points total per round).
  • Each increase round adds 1 stitch on each side of each raglan line = +8 total per round.
  • Raglan stitches themselves do not increase — only body and sleeve sections grow.
  • After separation, the raglan stitches are typically placed on waste yarn or worked into the underarm.
