About Hat Construction
Most crochet hats start with a magic ring and increase each round until the crown reaches the target circumference. The number of increases per round equals the starting stitch count (e.g., start with 6 → increase 6 sts each round). After reaching circumference, work even for the body of the hat.
Results are estimates. Actual results vary by gauge, tension, yarn, and hook size.
