How to use this calculator

Enter every cost associated with attending a craft fair — booth fee, travel, display supplies, food, parking, and your own time. Then enter your average item selling price and material cost. The calculator tells you how many items you need to sell to cover all costs, and how many more to reach your profit goal.

  • Include your time (setup, the show, teardown) at a realistic hourly rate — that's a real cost
  • If a show's break-even feels too high, the booth fee may not be worth it for your price point
  • A general rule of thumb: aim for revenue of 5–10× the booth fee to make a show worthwhile

This calculator uses average values. Actual results depend on foot traffic, your display, product mix, and market demand.
